Most Pinterest users have the intention of purchasing something they see on Pinterest (93% of them)! It is very possible to make money with Pinterest by implementing some strategies. Knowing how to use Pinterest correctly can have major financial benefits for your blog or biz.
Create Pinboards for Your Products or Services
If you sell products, make a pinboard of them. You categorize them into different boards or make one for all your products. Be sure to use high quality images of the products to attract Pinterest users. Always use vertical images. You actually can do this if you sell services too. Just find an image that represents your service and use words with the images to get the attention of the viewer. Then link the pin back to your website.
Create a Board to Showcase Your Portfolio
This strategy works best for service providers and artists as a way to showcase their work. For example, a web designer, can put screen shots of each site in the portfolio and link back to their website. You can do this with art, books, photography, and more.

Quotes are very popular on Pinterest. Many users have a board to collect their favorite quotes. Create a board with motivational quotes and link them back to your blog when the Pinterest users click them. This is a great way to drive traffic to your blog, and it helps to use the quote to promote something that you sell that relates to the quote. Properly Pin Affiliate Products
Pinterest did not used to allow affiliate links on Pinterest because spammers were abusing the privilege. But as of summer 2016, Pinterest has upped their spam detecting game and allows properly used affiliate links on pins again! Be sure to always disclose that it is an affiliate link in the description.
